Betty Blue Eyes

Betty Blue Eyes

Novello Theatre, Aldwych, London

Mon - Sat at 19.30

The musical is about 2 hours and 30 minutes long

Betty Blue Eyes is a brand new musical in London based on the comic film, A Private Function.

Betty Blue Eyes to the brim full of eccentric British characters and for the main characters we see amongst others, Sarah Lancashire and Reece Shearsmith!

Betty Blue Eyes is set in 1947 in post-war Britain - a country that seems to have lost its orderliness. The country is plagued by acute rationing, unemployment and the harshest winter in living memory. The only bright spot is the imminent wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

26 years ago Alan Bennett and Malcolm Mowbray wove this wedding story in the humor-filled, but also sharply observant film "A Private Function", as the musical Betty Blue Eyes is based on. The movie and the musical is about the adorable pig Betty, who in postwar Britain bred illegally, to ensure that the royal wedding are treated to a sumptuous dinner - all while the country's population has to settle for crumbs.

Betty Blue Eyes is not like any other musical you've seen - but she is well worth the money!
